Chiropractor Alfred Canal, D.C. received his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg S.C.. Additionally, he received national board certification from the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE) attaining Parts I, II, III, IV, and PHT enabling him to practice throughout the majority of the United States. He is board certified and licensed to treat workers compensation and personal injury. Also, Dr. Canal has been selected to the National Consumer Advisory Board’s “America’s Best Chiropractors” 2020 registry. The organization identifies top professionals in their field of practice.
Doctor of Chiropractic Alfred Canal is a member of state and national associations. He is a premier participating provider with all Blue Cross products. Chiropractor Alfred Canal has also developed a proficiency in treating injured patients with many different symptoms. Symptoms such as but not limited to neck and back pain, headaches, disc and sciatic pain.
The doctor was one of the first chiropractors to offer decompression therapy to his patients in his Scranton area chiropractic care center. Since 2004, he has associated MRI and CT scan findings and improved on existing chiropractic techniques incorporating spinal decompression therapy to create a new protocol for managing bulging or herniated disc. Alfred Canal, DC has been sought out and successfully utilizing this therapy on patients, other chiropractors and medical doctors in the area. Furthermore, decompression therapy is performed lying face up or face down. It is quick, comfortable, and safe. The clinical trials have proved spinal decompression therapy to be the technique of choice in managing cervical and lumbar disc herniation without surgery.

We schedule 30 minutes to 1 hour with each patient giving us time to do chiropractic adjustments, and physio therapies. This gives the time to really listen to the patient as well. We do this because we believe this is what true patient-centered care is.
